A last minute call to build an inflatable for Istanbul to solidarise with the protesters at Taksim Square. The workshop will take place this friday 21.06. from 3pm till 7pm in the artist space&club Keller, Karl Marx strasse 58 in Neukoeln. The following day the inflatable will be transported to Istanbul. The cheeky part in the project is that we want to build the inflatable from recycled materials, i.e. advertisement banners you find on the streets. This short video explains the idea: The workshop will take place during the Taste of Freedom festival. Artivist Jan Beddegenoodt will show his impressive documentary and 4channel movie installation of his 8 month stay in Palestine and Israel, accompanying both the protests against the Israeli occupation in Palestine and joining Rave parties on the beach in Israel. The event itself will be accompanied with a 2 day rave party with djs and artists from Israel and Palestine. Hope to see you on friday, with or without banner Tools for Action team |
